I have found that some of the early fish are like that. Have hooked them and thought they where sea trout because they tend to spend more time in the air when hooked just like sea trout

Stevie Munn got a nice silver fish about 4.5 lb last night and Tommy got one about the 3 lb mark, nice to see them about even when they arent showing, gives us learners a bit of encouragement.

Weather forcast is for heavy rain over the weekend

Just after you left last night Easky I tightened into what felt like a nice fish. Felt like it had a bit of power in it. It ended up swimming right over to the lip of the weir and I was just trying to hold onto it when the hook came out. Wasnt one of the monsters, but certainly felt stronger than the Dollies I have hooked. A few of the boys I was speaking to said it might have been a salmon, never know now lol. Ah well, God willing there will be others.

really bad luck Allen and sounds like it was a decent fish, still better to have lost and all that. I'm sure the next one will stick
