Why???

Have just seen that there is no October fishing for day tickets. What reason is there for this decision? I fished 4 times last season in October and spent a total of 48 quid on tickets. Caught two fish and both were returned safe and unmarked. Only saw a few other anglers on the four outings so how can it be in not allowed to fish. It can't be for the benefit of the fish because members can fish and it can't be because of over crowding because I hardly saw anyone. I dread to think of the money I've spent on the sixmile in the last 4 years and now can't even fish in October. Another point that's a bit of an issue is season tickets, there was no info on the web site and when the question was asked here no one gave and advice were or who to ask. I would gladly give up a few sat to help out on the work party but it feels as if the whole thing is a closed shop. Can't fish in October, can't get season tickets, can't become a member and have to be of the water by 11, even though most of the places I fish you hardly see a sinner. Excuse the rant

I have to agree with eamo ive fished the river for 8 years ive had my name on the membership list going on 5 years.I fished the river on a season ticket last year and was told by 2 seperate anglers that because im from belfast im down the waiting list compared to the locals. My reply to them was i drive up from belfast and spend a lot of cash on Petrol so Dont think its very fair AS the above post states it seems like a closed Shop ANY fish i caught on Barbless hooks was safely returned from March til October In August and September the banks where full of anglers in Oct 2013 i was up 5 times i seen 3 Anglers in Total
