Was introduced to the river last month and have enjoyed a few days/evenings fishing on it. Had great fun catching lots of small brownies just wanting to find out from regulars what are the best flies/techniques to catch dollaghan. Hi glenn,during the day for me u cant beat a weighted hares ear fished on a long leader an floating line. I think Alot of guys also just adopt salmon tactics,shrimp flies etc fished down an across on sinking lines.this way u could het salmon or dollaghan.most fish are took at night ,fish ykur flies tight to the bottom,if ur not snagging ur not deep enough.im sure some of the more experienced chaps could tell you more.atb with it
