Hi Gerry I will try to answer your question. It could take up to nine years to get into the club because your in Belfast that's how long it took for me to get into the club. It works on a point system one point for each year you apply and it takes 9 points to get to the top of the list, you get points if you live local to the river and points if you have a family member in the club. There is a long waiting list to get into the club and some years no one gets in because there are no places to fill. This year I think there was about 20 people that got in so all you can do is hold on in there and hopefully you will get there soon.

New rules have been applied for Members Fishing Potterswall Dam. They are as follows
1. No more than one fish to be killed and taken each day.
2. All fish more than 2 pounds in weight to be returned.
3. These two rules do not apply to competitions at the Dam. Current Competition Rules remain the same.
All members are asked to abide by these rules

Thanks for telling me at long last that you are a member of the club but as you may have noticed that most of the users on this forum don't use their real names that's why I need a membership numbers to confirm who they are. You may have also noticed that when you join this forum you can see all the topics that are posted this wil soon change as I will be making a few changes to the forum with areas that only clue members can see and post in. That's why I have been asking for the information since this forum was set up a year ago. I have been fishing the river for about 20 years and been a member for 10 years and a committee member for the last 4 years. Hope that answers your question.
