was watching with interest the great campaign to save the salmon in our rivers.now firstly i am all on for saving the salmon in our rivers,lakes.but it would appear to all have come about because off the threat off a massive fine from europe!.all this chat seems to be about not issuing netting licences,and the angler returning all salmon caught.i dont see anything about the scrapping off salmon farming around the uk.which if you look on the internet about the effects off farmed salmon on wild salmon,makes interesting reading.would appear to me maybe they should ban salmon farming as well,in my eyes it would appear to be doing more damage,according to the enviromental experts.
if the massive fine from europe had never been threatened here,the salmon decline would have just rolled on as normal!!.
